CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING APPROPRIATE STATE AND
COUNTY AUTHORITIES TO MAKE REPAIRS TO ROADS AND
SWALES AT THE INTERSECTION OF UNIVERSITY DRIVE
AND McNAB'ROADIN TAMARAC.
WHEREAS, the condition of the roads where University
Drive and McNab Road intersect is in a deplorable condition, and
WHEREAS, the swales along these roads are in very poor
condition, and
WHEREAS, the drainage at this intersection during and
after rain storms is a disgrace to Broward County, and
WHEREAS, this intersection was only constructed in the
reasonably recent past, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has no rational explanation
why a new road would deteriorate as quickly as University Drive
and McNab Road have, in fact, deteriorated, and
WHEREAS, repairs should be made as quickly as humanly
possible on this very heavily trafficked intersection.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL,OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Broward County and the Florida .Depart-
ment of Transportation are urged to expeditiously repair or`re-
construct the roads, swales and drainage systems at the intersection
of University Drive and McNab Road in the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: That a copy of this Resolution shall be
forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County
and the Broward County and Tallahassee offices of the Florida
Department of Transportation.
SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall be effective
immediately.
