CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT
OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS TO INCLUDE THE CITY OF
TAMARAC IN ITS APPLICATION TO "HUD" FOR LOCAL
ASSISTANCE FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
recognized certain problems in the Community which relate to
planning and management, and
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Planning Assistance Program
administered by the State of Florida Department of Community
Affairs offers the opportunity to strengthen the community develop-
ment process through the conduct of a planning program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council does hereby officially
request the State of Florida Department of Community Affairs to
include the City of Tamarac in its application to the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development for local planning assistance funds.
SECTION 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
