CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR REFERENDUM QUESTIONS
#R-1 and #R-2.
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Charter and as directed by
Resolutions R-78-9 and R-78-10, certain referendum questions
were placed on the ballot of the General Election held on
March 14, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the
results of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and
has certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of
Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk as reviewed the certification
from the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her find-
ings to the City Council for formal Certification and Declara-
tion of the results;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Question #R-1 on the March 14, 1978
General Election Ballot is hereby declared to have received
the following number of votes:
R-1: "Shall the City of Tamarac expend $221,972.29
to purchase one (1) Aerial Ladder -Platform
(Quint) Fire Truck to be acquired through the
best financing arrangement available, and for
a term not to exceed five (5) years?"
FOR THE PROPOSITION 5,909
AGAINST THE PROPOSITION 2,544
SECTION 2: That Question #R-2 on the March 14, 1978
General Election Ballot is hereby declared to have received
the following number of votes:
R-2: "Shall the City of Tamarac expend up to
$370,000.00 for the purpose of purchasing
a land site in the eastern area of the City
of Tamarac and for the purpose of constructing
and furnishing a fare station thereon, the ac-
quisition and land improvements to be paid for
either by the issuance of municipal bonds or
through the best financing arrangement avail-
able, and for a term not to exceed fifteen (15)
years?"

SECTION 3: Question #R-1 having received a majority approvalof
the electors voting FOR THE PROPOSITION at the General Election
is hereby declared to have been approved.
SECTION 4: Question #R-2 having received a majority approval
of the electors voting FOR THE PROPOSITION at the General Election
is hereby declared to have been approved.
