CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. J,.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD POSITIONS FOR
GROUP 1. GROUP 2 and GROUP 3
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 14,
1978, wherein the positions of Charter Board Group 1, for
a 2-year term, Charter Board, Group 2, for a 2-year term,
and Charter Board, Group 3, for a 1-year term were to be
filled; and
WHEREAS, only one person filed and qualified as a
candidate for Group 1, and only one person filed and quali-
fied as a candidate for Group 2, and only one person filed
and qualified as a candidate for Group 3; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Election Code, Chapter 101.151 (6)
provides that "... the names of unopposed candidates shall not
appear on the general election ballot" and "each unopposed
candidate shall be deemed to have voted for himself."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Irving Epstein, who filed and quali-
fied as a candidate for Charter Board, Group 1, for a 2-year
term, and who was unopposed, is hereby certified and declared
to have been elected to that position.
SECTION 2: That Melanie Reynolds, who filed and quali-
fied as a candidate for Charter Board, Group 2, for a 2-year
term, and who was unopposed, is hereby certified and declared
to have been elected to that position.

SECTION 3: That- Richard Entin, who filed and quali-
fied as a candidate for Charter Board, Group 3, for a 1-year
term and who was unopposed, is hereby certified and declared
to have been elected to that position.
SECTION 4: That Irving Epstein, Melanie K. Reynolds,
and Richard Entin, shall assume their offices in accordance
with the provisions of Section 8.01 of the City Charter.
