CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND
CITY COUNCIL DISTRICTS 2 and 4.

WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 14, 1978,
wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose one (1)
candidate for Mayor, one (1) candidate for the Office of Council
Representative from District 2 and one (1) candidate for the Office
of Council Representative from District 4; and
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the
results of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has
certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from
the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the
City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the Re-
sults.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Mayor at
the General Election held March 14, 1978,
CHARLIE DIAMOND 4,340
WALTER W. FALCK 5,928
and WALTER W. FALCK, having received the highest number of votes
cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Mayor, for a
term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Council

Representative from District 2, at the General Election held
March 14, 1978,
HELEN MASSARO 5,613
SOL ROBINSON 4,570 ,
and HELEN MASSARO, having received the highest number of votes
cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Council
Representative from District 2, for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 3: The following are the certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Council
Representative from District 4, at the General Election held
March 14, 1978,
DON PERLMAN 1,676
IRV ROSENSTEIN 3,642
HARRY WIENER 4,293 ,
and HARRY WIENER, having received the highest number of votes
cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Council Repre-
sentative from District 4, for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 4: That WALTER W. FALCK, HELEN MASSARO and
HARRY WIENER, shall take office in accordance with the pro-
visions of Section 1, of Ordinance #76-8.
