CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION OF
UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOR ACQUISI-
TION OF A LINEAR ACCELERATOR.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been informed that University
Community Hospital has submitted application to the Health Planning &
Development Council for Broward County for a replacement of its
Cobalt-60 Unit with a Linear Accelerator; and
WHEREAS, it is the sincere feeling and desire of the Council
of the City of Tamarac, acting in the interest of all persons who
may receive medical treatment and services at University Community
Hospital,that University Community Hospital should be permitted to
replace this Cobalt radiation therapy equipment with the more
technically sophisticated Linear Accelerator.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the City Council does hereby offer
Proclamation of Support to University Community Hospital in order
that the Health Planning & Development Council look favorably upon
the application in order to maintain the high standards of quality
health.care_already established in our community. --
SECTION 2: That the City Clerk is hereby instructed
to issue certified copies of this Resolution to University Community
Hospital and to all members of the Health Planning & Development
Council for Broward County.
