CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 7F-6(
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, BROWARD
COUNTY, FLORIDA, URGING AND REQUESTING THE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO EXPEDITE AND
COMPLETE THE PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE
WEST ATLANTIC BOULEVARD LOCATED IN BROWARD COUNTY;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the proposed West Atlantic Boulevard Extension is
urgently needed to improve a dangerous traffic situation, and
relieve congestion in the Northwest Broward County area; and
WHEREAS, there appears to be an unreasonable delay in the
completion of those matters necessary prior to the commencement
of construction.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida
hereby urges and requests the Department of Transportation to
expedite and complete the planning and construction of the exten-
sion of West Atlantic Boulevard located in Broward County.
SECTION 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to
the Department of Transportation, and all other municipalities
in Broward County.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall be effective immediately
upon passage.
