CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R- 7,?, % 4)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MAYORAL PROCLAMA-
TION DECLARING THE MONTH OF MAY AS "STATE
OF ISRAEL MONTH."
WHEREAS, people of the Hebrew faith have, for centuries,,
endured adversity and persecution; and
WHEREAS, despite these hardships the Jewish people succeeded
in founding the State of Israel as a sanctuary for Jews the world
over; and
WHEREAS, the State of Israel is celebrating its 30th Anniversary
following many years of wars to maintain its existence; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to authorize the issuance of
a Proclamation with the hope that Israel will be successful in
finding peace and tranquillityfor all its people.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to proclaim
the month of May as "State of Israel Month" in commemoration of
its 30th Anniversary as a Nation.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS ,,9Z day of 1978.
