CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. --7,P e3
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ARTHUR M. BIRKEN
AS CITY ATTORNEY.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received applications from
persons interested in serving as City Attorney for the City of
Tamarac and has conducted interviews of the most qualified persons,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has, by motion, adopted on

April 28, 1978, appointed ARTHUR M. BIRKEN to serve as City Attorney
for the City of Tamarac at a starting salary of\THIRTY THOUSAND
($30,000.00) DOLLARS per annum,)with an auto allowance of ONE
HUNDRED ($100.00) DOLLARS per month, and the salary to be increased
to THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND ($35,000.00) DOLLARS per annum, effective
October 1, 1978, and
WHEREAS, ARTHUR M. BIRKEN has accepted said appointment of
the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That(ARTHUR M. BIRKEN) be and he is hereby
appointed to serve as City Attorney of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: That the starting salary of,(ARTHUR M. BIRKEN
shall be THIRTY THOUSAND ($30,000.00) DOLLARS per annum.
SECTION 3: That the salary ofc'ARTHUR M. BIRKEN shall be
increased to THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND ($35,000.00) DOLLARS per annum,
effective October 1, 1978.
SECTION 4: That in addition to his salary ARTHUR M. BIRKEN
shall receive a monthly auto allowance of ONE HUNDRED ($100.00)
DOLLARS.
SECTION 5: That ARTHUR M. BIRKEN shall assume the position
of City Attorney effective 12:01 A.M., Monday, May 15th, 1978,

and shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
