CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 79-198
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE
AND SALE AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE
ASSETS OF TAMARAC UTILITIES, INC. WHICH AGREEMENT
WOULD BE FINALLY EFFECTIVE UPON SATISFACTION OF
ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, negotiations have been held concerning the acquisition
of the assets of Tamarac Utilities, Inc., and
WHEREAS, the fruit of said negotiations is the Purchase and
Sale Agreement attached hereto and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac City Council deems it to be in the best
interest of the health, safety and welfare of the customers and of the citizens
of Tamarac to acquire the Utility according to the terms and conditions set
forth in the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC,. FLORI DA :
SECTION 1: The appropriate City officials are authorized and
directed to execute the Agreement of Purchase and Sale for the assets of
Tamarac Utilities, Inc. as shall be consistent with this resolution and subject
to further legal, accounting and engineering reports.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its enactment.
