CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 79-204
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE, SUBJECT
TO THE ELECTION HEREIN PROVIDED FOR, OF NOT
EXCEEDING $15,000,000.00 BONDS OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, FOR PROVIDING FUNDS, TO-
GETHER WITH ANY OTHER AVAILABLE FUNDS, FOR
PAYING THE COST OF ACQUIRING THE WATER TREATMENT
AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND THE WASTEWATER
COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SYSTEM OWNED BY TAMARAC
UTILITIES, INC. AND ACQUIRING AND CONSTRUCTING
IMPROVEMENTS TO SUCH SYSTEMS.
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of.Tamarac acquire the
water treatment and distribution system and the wastewater collection and
disposal system owned by Tamarac Utilities, Inc. (collectively the "Systems")
and acquire and construct improvements to the Systems; and
WHEREAS, to pay all or a part of the cost of acquiring the Systems
and acquiring and constructing improvements thereto, it is necessary to issue
the bonds of the City as hereinafter provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: For the purpose of providing funds, together with any
other available funds, for paying the cost of acquiring the Systems and
acquiring and constructing improvements thereto, there shall be issued, subject
to the election hereinafter providedfor, bonds of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
in an aggregate principal amount not exceeding ----- FIFTEEN MILLION ------------
---------------------------------------- Dollars ($ 15,000,000.00 ), maturing
at such time or times not exceeding forty (40) years from their date or dates
as may be determined by the City Council, and bearing interest at a rate or rates
not exceeding the maximum rate then permitted by law, and to be payable solely
from the revenues derived by the City from its ownership and operation of the
Systems, together with a certain portion of the proceeds of said bonds.

SECTION 2: A special election is hereby called to be held on
October 9, 1979, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of
the City the question whether such bonds shall be issued.
SECTION 3: This Resolution becomes effective immediately
upon its passage.
