CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. lf?�J122V
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AND ADOPTING AN AD VALOREM
TAX TO FUND THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1. 1979.
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a budget for the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 1979, not to exceed Five Million Six Hundred Eighty --Six
Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty Dollars ($5,686,480.00), and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it is not necessary to increase the
Ad Valorem tax or millage upon taxable property within the City of Tamarac to
generate sufficient funds to meet its budget requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the annual General Fund Budget of estimated
expenses and receipts for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1979, has been
adopted and approved by the Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida by
Ordinance No. 0-79-48. In accordance with the need and requirements for the
estimated operation for the fiscal year October 1, 1979, there is hereby
levied upon all taxable real and personal property in the City of Tamarac,
except that property exempted under the Constitution and other laws of the
State of Florida, a tax of 5.6903 dollars per 1,000 dollars of assessed
valuation for the benefit of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and instructed
to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the following: The Broward
County Division of Revenue Collection acting as the Tax Collector for the City
of Tamarac; The State of Florida Department of Revenue; The Board of County
Commissioners of Broward County; and the Prop rty Appraiser of Broward County.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk is hereby instructed to keep an original

copy of this Resolution in the permanent files of the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall be effective immediately.
