RESOLUTION NO. R-79-229
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A WAIVER OF THE CITY'S
SIGN ORDINANCE TO WOODLANDS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, an application has been made by WOODLANDS
HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION for a waiver of the City's sign ordinance
for a subdivision identification sign to be located on the median
strip on Woodlands Boulevard immediately south of Commercial
Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists in that this sign identifies
the main entrance and location of the Woodlands, and
WHEREAS, the granting of said waiver is in the best
interests of the citizens of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to the terms of Section 21-15
of the Tamarac City Code, a waiver is granted to WOODLANDS HOMEOWNERS
ASSOCIATION for a sign as noted above.
SECTION 2: The conditions of the granting of this
waiver are as follows: The City to be named as additional insured
on insurance policy covering beautification and sign project. Insur-
ance to remain in effect for as long as sign remains.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED THIS 26 day of September, 1979.
