CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A
MAYORAL PROCLAMATION PROCLAIMING THE WEEK
OF OCTOBER 22nd THROUGH OCTOBER 28th TO
BE FORGET-ME-NOT DRIVE WEEK IN THE CITY
OF TAMARAC; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Disabled American Veterans have designated
the week of October 22nd through October 28th to be Forget -
Me -Not Drive Week, and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
recognized that the freedom enjoyed by the citizenry of the City
and the United States of America has been guaranteed by the
ultimate sacrifice of so many American patriots, and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac recognized the great fruitful
efforts of the organization known as the Disabled American Veterans
in honoring the Country's war dead and in rendering aid to the
widows and children of these great patriots who have committed
their lives to the safety and protection of America
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida,
on behalf of the citizenry of the City of Tamarac, does hereby
recognized and reaffirm its gratitude to all of the war veterans
who have sacrificed themselves in an effort to protect the
citizens of the United States of America, without which the great
American tradition would be imperiled.
SECTION 2: It is within the best interest of the citizenry
of the City of Tamarac to commemorate those great American patriots
who have sacrificed to protect the freedom enjoyed by all
Americans.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Tamarac,
Florida does hereby direct the Mayor to issue a proclamation
proclaiming the week of October 22nd through October 28th to
be Forget -Me -Not Drive Week in Tamarac.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 0 day of October, 1979.
