CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION INCREASING THE SALARY OF THE
CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the City Council appointed and set the salary
of its City Attorney, Arthur M. Birken, in Resolution No. 78-83; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wants to increase the salary
of its City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The salary of City Attorney Arthur M. Birken
is hereby increased seven (7%) percent over that figure established
in Section 3 of Resolution 78-83. Retroactive to October 8,1979.
SECTION 2: In the event that the City Council passes an
ordinance which removes the City Attorney from the City's Pension
Plan, the City Attorney may elect to have the amount of the City's
contribution as of the date the City Attorney is removed from the
Plan added to the amount of his salary.
SECTION 3: Any provision of Resolution 78-83 not in
conflict with any provision of this Resolution shall remain in full
force and effect. Any provision of Resolution 78-83 in conflict
with any provision of this Resolution are repealed to the extent of
the conflict.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall be effective immediately
upon adoption.
