CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. 79-255
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE
ASSETS OF TAMARAC UTILITIES, INC., ON MONDAY,
OCTOBER 15, 1979, AND AUTHORIZATION OF
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECT THE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac entered into a Purchase and Sale
Agreement to purchase the assets of Tamarac Utilities, Inc., on the 31st day
of July, 1979, and
WHEREAS, the purchase was authorized by a vote of the electors of
the City of Tamarac on October 9, 1979, which said election was properly
certified on October 10, 1979, and
WHEREAS, under the terms of said Agreement, the conveyance of the
assets of Tamarac Utilities, Inc. was to be accomplished as soon as possible
after the certification of the election, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the healtfi,.safety and
welfare of the citizens of the City of Tamarac to expedite the purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The City of Tamarac is to purchase the assets of
Tamarac Utilities, Inc. on Monday, October 15, 1979.
SECTION 2: The City is hereby authorized to accept all Deeds,
Bills of Sale, Assignments and other appropriate documents necessary to
effectuate the purchase.
SECTION 3: The appropriate officials of the City of Tamarac are
thereby authorized to execute any and all documents which may be necessary to '
jeffectuate the purchase.
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage.
