A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT BROWARD COUNTY,
FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO F.S. 34.191(3) REIMBURSE
4
AND EQUITABLY DISTRIBUTE TO THE CITY OF TAMARAC
THOSE COSTS OF OPERATION OF THE COUNTY COURT
5
INCLUDING THE COST OF PROSECUTION INCURRED BY
THE CITY, DIRECTING THAT COPIES OF THIS RESOLU-
6
TION BE FORWARDED TO THE GOVERNOR, STATE LEGIS-
LATURE AND THE CHIEF JUDGE OF THE SEVENTEENTH

JUDICIAL CIRCUIT FOR BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA.

WHEREAS, Florida Statute 34.191(3) provides for the reimburse-
9
ment and distribution of the costs of operation of the County Court,
10
including the costs of prosecution to the municipality; and
11
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida has expended sums for
12
said operation and prosecutions; and
13
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to have these
14
funds reimbursed and more equitably distributed to the City.
15
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
16
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: The City of Tamarac, Florida, hereby requests
18
that pursuant to F.S. 34.191(3), Broward County reimburse the City
19
for the costs it has incurred as the result of prosecution in the
20
County Court System.
21
SECTION 2: The Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of the
22
Seventeenth Judicial Circuit is hereby placed on notice that the City
23
of Tamarac requests that a more equitable distribution of the cost
24
of prosectuion and other such Court costs be made to the City.
25
SECTION 3: It is hereby directed that copies of the Resolu-
26
tion be forwarded to the Governor, -the State Legislature, and the
27
Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit
28
for Broward County, Florida.
29
SECTION 4: This Resolution shall become effective immediately'
30
upon its passage and adoption.
