CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. Z-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, URGING
EXTENSION OF ATLANTIC BOULEVARD BETWEEN POWERLINE ROAD
AND STATE ROAD 7.
WHEREAS, existing plans call for a three mile extension of Atlantic
Boulevard, between Powerline Road and State Road 7 to be constructed in 1981-82;
and
WHEREAS, funds are presently available for the construction of said
extension of Atlantic Boulevard; and ,
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it of urgent necessity
that Atlantic Boulevard be extended to State Road 7 at the earliest possible date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization
and the Board of County Commissioners are requested_to give immediate priority to con-
struction of the Atlantic Boulevard extension between Powerline Road and State
Road 7 in accordance with existing plans.
SECTION 2: A certified copy of this Resolution to be forthwith
transmitted to each member of the Broward County Commission and to each member of
the Broward County Metropolitan Planning Organization.
SECTION 3: This Resolution shall be effective upon its passaae.
