CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO APPLY TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
AGENCY FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR A SEWER SYSTEM
EVALUATION STUDY.
WHEREAS, Public Law 92-500 of the United States of America
provides for the Environmental Protection Agency to provide grant
funds for the improvement to local sanitary sewer systems; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has purchased and obtained owner-
ship and management of the Tamarac Utilities, Inc. sanitary sewer
system, which is now known as the City of Tamarac Utilities West
system; and
WHEREAS, the "201" Study of Broward County has determined that
the Tamarac Utilities West sanitary sewer system has excess infiltra-
tion and inflow of water;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Tamarac is
hereby authorized to apply to the Environmental Protection Agency for
a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation grant for the study of the Tamarac Utilit-
ies West sanitary sewer system.
SECTION 2. That Larry Keating, P.E., City Engineer of the
City of Tamarac, is hereby designated as the City of Tamarac's project
representative.
