RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION N0.79-1, PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 0-78-12 authorizes the City Council
to review the schedule of engineering inspection fees required prior
to initiation of construction, developments or other improvements;and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 79-1 and its Exhibit "A" - Schedule
of Permit Fees provides for engineering fees; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended to the City Council
that a review of such fees be made; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the recommendation
of the City Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1:
That Section D, paragraph 1 (a) through (c) of
Exhibit "A": to Resolution No.R-79-1 is hereby amended as follows:
1. An application for an improvement permit shall be filed with
the City. Each application shall be accompanied by a plan
indicating the exact nature and location of the desired
improvements and an itemized, estimated cost of all site
improvements, certified by the applicant's engineer or accoun
tant. The cost of the improvement permit and inspection fees
shall be paid in accordance with the following schedule:
(a) Canal excavation and bulkheads, bridges, seawalls,
endwalls, headwalls, water distribution, site preparati
and beautification ............5% of construction cost
(b) All other improvements ........6% of construction cost
(c) Minimum Total Fee ............. $450.00
to be assessed to any improvement project for which
a site development plan is required.
(d) The percentage fee for improvement permits is fixed at
the time the permit is obtained and costs, not
percentages, are to be recomputed upon co pletion of
the work.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
