3 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS
OF THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR CITY
4 COUNCIL DISTRICTS 1 AND 3.
5 WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 13, 1979,
6 wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose one (1)
7 candidate for the Office of Council Representative from District 1
8 and one (1) candidate for the Office of Council Representative from
9 District 3; and
10 WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results
11 of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified
12 such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from
14 the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the
15 City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the Results,
36 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
17 FLORIDA:
18 SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of the
19 votes received by candidates seeking the office of Council Representa-
20 tive from District 1, at the General Election held March 13, 1979,
21 MARJORIE E. KELCH 3044
22 ALICE K. NORIAN 2949
23 and Marjorie E. Kelch , having received the highest number
24 of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Council
25 Representative from District 1, for a term of two (2) years.
26 SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of the
27 votes received by candidates seeking the office of Council Representa-
28 tive from District 3, at the General Election held March 13, 1979,
29 IRVING M. DISRAELLY 3762
30 PETER SANICOLA 2314
31 and Irving M. Disraelly having received the highest number o_
32;votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as Council Repre-
33 sentative from District 3, for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 3: That Marypprie E. Kelch and
Irving M DisrnPlly , shall take office in accor-
dance with the provisions of Section 1, of Ordinance #76-8.
