A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER
4
BOARD POSITIONS FOR GROUP 1, GROUP 2,
5
AND GROUP 3.
WHEREAS, the General Election was held on March 13, 1979,
7
wherein the positions of Charter Board Group 1, for a 2-year term,
8
Charter Board, Group 2, for a 2-year term, and Charter Board, Group
9
3, for a 2-year term were to be filled; and
10
WHEREAS, the County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results
11
of the machine voting and the absentee ballots, and has certified
12
such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and
13
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from
14
the County Canvassing Board, and has presented her findings to the
15
City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the
16
Results.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
18
FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of the
20
votes received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board,
21
Group 1, at the General Election, March 13, 1979,
22
FELICIA G. HOWORT 2424
23
VIRGINIA K. TAYLOR 3182
24
and Virginia K. Taylor , having received the highest
25
number of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as
26
Charter Board Representative, Group 1, for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of the
28
votes received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board,
29

Group 2, at the General Election, March 13, 1979,

and Barry S. Eden , having received the highest
33 number of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as
34 Charter Board Representative, Group 2, for a term of two (2) years.

SECTION 3: The following are the certified results of the

Group 3, at the General Election, March 13, 1979,

and Richard C. Entin , having received the highest
number of votes cast is therefore declared to have been elected as
Charter Board Representative, Group 3, for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 4: That Virginia K. Taylor _ r

shall take office in accordance with the pro-
visions of the applicable law.
