R2000-159 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING 7 MEMBERS TO THE AMBULANCE COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR THE ELECTION OF A CHAIRPERSON; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing 7 members to the Ambulance Committee to serve one-year terms; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-234 of the Tamarac Code, members of the Ambulance Committee shall be appointed by the City Commission on an annual basis; and WHEREAS, the Fire Chief and City Manager recommend approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint 7 members to the Ambulance Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. 1 1 1 Temp. Reso. #9001 Page 2 May 10, 2000 Rev. 1, June 20, 2000 SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-234 of the Tamarac Code, (attached hereto as Exhibit A) the following people are hereby appointed as members of the Ambulance Committee to serve one year terms expiring June 26, 2001, or until such time as reappointments are made: Bert Buckley J. Leilani Kicklighter Marvin J. Seidel Yvette Stephenson Murray H. lobco Max Marcus Louis M. Silverman SECTION 3: The members of the Ambulance Committee shall select a Chairperson from among its members. SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
