R-2000 •-,,I -�o A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT A PROPOSAL FROM ADVANCED MODULAR SYSTEMS, INC. AND ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE RENTAL OF AN OFFICE TRAILER FOR AN INITIAL TWO YEAR PERIOD WITH MONTH -TO - MONTH EXTENSIONS AS REQUIRED AND/OR NECESSARY; AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $37,258; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is hampered by a lack of office space which is required to support departmental operations. WHEREAS, the rental of an office trailer is necessary to accommodate the immediate needs of Public Works operations; and WHEREAS, three proposals were received the results summarized as follows: Advance Modular Systems GE Capital Williams Scotsman $37,258 $48,660 $49,280 WHEREAS, Advanced Modular Systems, Inc. was the lowest and most responsive quote at $37,258; and WHEREAS, funding is available in the General Fund for said purpose; and Ll Temp Reso. #9111 Page 2 August 14, 2000 WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Assistant Director of Public Works and Purchasing and Contracts Manager to rent an office trailer from Advanced Modular Systems, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the residents of the City of Tamarac to rent an office trailer to provide necessary office accommodations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT: SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are HEREBY ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof. SECTION 2: The appropriate City officials are authorized to accept a proposal, a copy of said proposal herein attached as Exhibit "1", from Advanced Modular Systems, Inc. and issue a purchase order for the rental of an office trailer for an initial two year period with month -to -month extensions as necessary is HEREBY authorized. SECTION 3: An expenditure in an amount not to exceed $37,258 from the General Fund is HEREBY authorized. SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are HEREBY repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or 1 Temp Reso. #9111 Page 3 August 14, 2000 invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
