CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R2000-243
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ONE (1) MEMBER TO THE
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO FILL AN UNEXPIRED TERM
ENDING JULY 16, 2001; APPOINTING ONE (1) MEMBER TO
THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT TO FILL AN UNEXPIRED TERM
ENDING JULY 16, 2002; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing one (1)
member to the Board of Adjustment to fill an unexpired term ending July 16, 2001
and one (1) member to the Board of Adjustment to fill an unexpired term ending
July 16, 2002; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 24-36 and 24-37(a) of the
Tamarac Code (attached hereto as Exhibit A) members of the Board of
Adjustment shall be appointed by the City Commission and serve for overlapping
terms of three (3) years or thereafter until their successors are appointed; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 24-37(c) of the Tamarac Code
(attached hereto as Exhibit A), "Any vacancy occurring during the unexpired term
of office of any member shall be filled by the city council [sic] for the remainder of
the term. Such vacancy shall be filled within thirty (30) days after the vacancy
occurs."; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Director and City Manager
recommend approval; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint
one (1) member to the Board of Adjustment to fill an unexpired term ending July
16, 2001 and one (1) member to the Board of Adjustment to fill an unexpired
term ending July 16, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of
this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 24-37(c) of the Tamarac Code, the
following person is hereby appointed as a member of the Board of Adjustment to
fill an unexpired term ending July 16, 2001, or until such time as reappointments
are made:
Henry Rohr
SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 24-37(c) of the Tamarac Code, the
following person is hereby appointed as a member of the Board of Adjustment to
fill an unexpired term ending July 16, 2002, or until such time as reappointments
are made:

SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 25th day of September 2000.
