R2000-306' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ONE (1) ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE PLANNING BOARD TO FILL AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING APRIL 15, 2001; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing one (1) alternate member to the Planning Board to fill an unexpired term ending April 15, 2001; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Sections 24-61(a) and (b) of the Tamarac Code (attached hereto as Exhibit A) regular members of the Planning Board shall be appointed by the City Commission to serve three (3) year terms expiring on April 15th of the appropriate year, and alternate members shall be appointed by the City Commission to serve one (1) year terms expiring on April 15th of the appropriate year; and WHEREAS, the Community Development Director and City Manager recommend approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint one (1) alternate member to the Planning Board to fill an unexpired term ending April 15, 2001. Reso. #9206 Page 2 November 7, 2000 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 24-61(a) of the Tamarac Code, the following person is hereby appointed as an alternate member of the Planning Board to fill an unexpired term ending April 15, 2001, or until such time as reappointments are made: o©seh 41 SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. 1 Temp.
