R2000-306 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ONE (1) MEMBER TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD TO FILL A ONE YEAR TERM ENDING JUNE 26, 2001; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing one (1) member to the Parks and Recreation Board to fill a one-year term ending June 26, 2001; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 15-43 of the Tamarac Code (attached hereto as Exhibit A) members of the Parks and Recreation Board shall be appointed by the City Commission to serve one (1) year terms; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Director and City Manager recommend approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint one (1) member to the Parks and Recreation Board to fill a one-year term ending June 26, 2001. 1 Temp. Reso. #9204 Page 2 November 7, 2000 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 15-43 of the Tamarac Code, the following person is hereby appointed as a member of the Parks and Recreation Board to fill a one (1) year term expiring June 26, 2001, or until such time as reappointments are made: SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. u Temp.
