R — 2000 - 3 / G A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN EMPLOYEE SOCIAL EVENTS PROGRAM AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $20,000; AUTHORIZING ALL APPROPRIATE BUDGETARY TRANSFERS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, it is in the City's interest to ensure the high morale of City employees; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac believes that establishing an Employee Social Events Program will have a positive effect on employee morale; and WHEREAS, the City has established a tentative Employee Social Events calendar, a copy of which is hereby attached as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the cost to the City to establish and subsidize the Employee Social Events Program is $20,000; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval; and Temp Reso. #9208 November 13, 2000 Page 2 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac for the City to establish an Employee Social Events Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: Section 1: The foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Section 2: The City Commission of the City of Tamarac authorizes the establishment of an Employee Social Events Program at a cost not to exceed $20,000. Section 3: The City Commission authorizes all appropriate budgetary transfers necessary to be in accordance with proper accounting procedures. Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or in application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. adoption. 1 Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its Temp Reso. #9208 November 13, 2000 Page 3 PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 0 � day of 000.
