RESOLUTION NO. R-2000- jd.Q
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING
Marr--Sa. lA-krDi AS THE CITY'S
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO SEND
A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE METROPOLITAN
PLANNING ORGANIZATION; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, has been approved by the Governor of
the State of Florida as a voting member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization is the transportation
planning board for Broward County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has been an active member of the Metropolitan
Planning Organization for a number of years; and
WHEREAS, the City's Metropolitan Planning Organization representative position
is currently vacant; and
WHEREAS, only an elected official of the City of Tamarac can serve as the City's
Metropolitan Planning Organization representative; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends appointing a representative to the
Metropolitan Planning Organization; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint

Organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2: That KlciYc. L, Su,�} b� is appointed as the City's representative to
the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Section 3: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution
to the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Section 4: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: That if any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or in
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion or applications of this
Resolution.

Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
