R-2000-67 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING TWO (2) REGULAR MEMBERS AND ONE (1) ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS COMMITTEE TO FILL UNEXPIRED TERMS ENDING JUNE 1, 2000; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing two (2) regular members and one (1) alternate member to the Consumer Affairs Committee to fill unexpired terms ending June 1, 2000; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk and City Manager recommend approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint members to the Consumer Affairs Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. 1 Page 2 Temp. Reso. #8933 2/28/00 Revision #1, March 20, 2000 Revision #2, March 21, 2000 SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as regular members of the Consumer Affairs Committee to fill unexpired terms ending June 1, 2000, or until such time as reappointments are made: Ralph Schelin Allan M. Smith SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Tamarac Code, the following person is HEREBY APPOINTED as an alternate member of the Consumer Affairs 0 Committee to fill an unexpired term ending June 1, 2000, or until such time as reappointments are made: Harold Kierstein SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution. 11 s • Ir L Page 3 Temp.
