CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97- 10 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA TO ACCEPT A $2,500 DONATION
FROM THE FAMILY OF JOSEPH T. CAPORELLA TO AID IN
THE FUNDING OF A NEW SIGN AT CAPORELLA PARK AND
KEEP THE NAME OF "JOSEPH T. CAPORELLA MEMORIAL
PARK" THROUGH THE YEAR 2019; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FQR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Warranty Deed from Nick A. Caporella, Trustee to the City of Tamarac
was executed and recorded on December 31, 1979 donating land to the City of Tamarac,
known as "Joseph T. Caporella Memorial Park"; and
WHEREAS, as per the recorded Warranty Deed, the City of Tamarac was
responsible to maintain the name of the park sign for twenty years; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac agrees to accept a donation from the family of
Joseph T. Caporella in the amount of $2,500 for a new sign at Caporella Park; and
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac agrees to keep the name of "Joseph T. Caporella
Memorial Park" through year 2019; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept a $2,500
donation from the family of Joseph T. Caporella and to keep the name of "Joseph T.
Caporella Memorial Park" through the year 2019.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SECTION 1: The foregoing 'WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City of Tamarac accepts a donation of $2,500 from the family of
Joseph T. Caporella and agrees to erect a new sign and keep the name "Joseph T.
Caporella Memorial Park" through year 2019.
SECTIOU 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
