CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97-128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING NINE (9)
REGULAR MEMBERS AND TWO (2) ALTERNATE
MEMBERS TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS COMMITTEE;
APPOINTING A CHAIRPERSON OF THIS COMMITTEE;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEYEE18BILlan M0 PROVIDING AN EFEECTIYE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing nine (9) regular
members and two (2) alternate members to the Consumer Affairs Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clause is hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Code, the following persons
are HEREBY APPOINTED as regular members of the Consumer Affairs Committee for
terms beginning June 1, 1997 and expiring June 1, 1998, or until such time as
reappointments are made:
Harry Cantor Jerome Finnk Barry Miller
Irving Cooper Arthur Kaufer Winifred Ostrum
Wendy DeFortuna Faye Koch Adelyne B. Rubinstein

SECTION 3: That the following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as alternate
members of the Consumer Affairs Committee for terms beginning June 1, 1997 and
expiring June 1, 1998:
Myriam Chance Clifford Kander
SECTION 4: That Harry Cantor is HEREBY APPOINTED Chairperson of the
Consumer Affairs Committee.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 7; This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 30th day of May, 1997.
