RESOLUTION NO. R-97-134,•
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING FIVE (5)
REGULAR MEMBERS AND FOUR (4) ALTERNATE
MEMBERS TO THE PUBLIC INFORMATION COMMITTEE;
APPOINTING A CHAIRPERSON OF THIS COMMITTEE;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVEBABILEY0 AbID PROVIDING AN EFEECIIVE DAIE,
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing five (5) regular
members and four (4) alternate members to the Public Information Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clause is hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
That pursuant to Section 2-177 of the Code, the following persons
are HEREBY APPOINTED as regular members of the Public Information Committee for
terms beginning June 1, 1997 and expiring June 1, 1998, or until such time as
reappointments are made:
June M. Alfieri
Stan Bernard
Ben Chicofsky
Esther Garfinkle
Gladys Kupfer

SECTION 3: That the following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as alternate
members of the Public Information Committee for terms beginning June 1, 1997 and
expiring June 1, 1998, or until such time as reappointments are made:
Florence Bochenek Robin Brooke Miller
Ruth F. Grandwetter Louis Silverman
SECTION 4: That Stan Bernard is HEREBY APPOINTED as Chairperson of the
Public Information Committee.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION CL If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
