CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97-137
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING EIGHT (8)
OR MORE REGULAR MEMBERS AND UP TO FOUR (4)
ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE VETERANS AFFAIRS
COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE:
WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing eight (8) or more
regular members and up to four (4) alternate members to the Veterans Affairs
Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clause is hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-223 of the Code, the following persons
are HEREBY APPOINTED as regular members of the Veterans Affairs Committee for
terms beginning June 1, 1997 and expiring June 1, 1998, or until such time as
reappointments are made:
Norman Blau
Ruth F. Grandwetter
Murray Nathanson Hyman Sklar
Joseph S. Brown
Herbert Hayes
Stanley Rosenzweig Joseph Van Wagner
Bert Buckley
Robert Horwith
Louis Rudowsky
Harry Cohen
David Kalman
Murray M. Schulman
Nora F. Gould
Harvey Kram
Shirley A. Shepherd

SECTION 3: That pursuant to Section 2-226 of the Code, the following persons
are HEREBY APPOINTED as alternate members of the Veterans Affairs Committee for
terms beginning June 1, 1997 and expiring June 1, 1998, or until such time as
reappointments are made.
Robert Hilfer Martin Sucoff
Herbert Schaefer Harold Weiskopf
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
