CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97--
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE SALARY FOR THE CITY
ATTORNEY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the City Attorney is a charter officer of the City of Tamarac and works
directly for the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has decided that a merit salary adjustment is
appropriate at this time; and
WHEREAS, available funds exist in the general fund budget for said purpose; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac believes that a merit
adjustment in the salary for the City Attorney is fair and equitable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing 'WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the City Attorney's salary, effective June 1, 1997, shall be
increased by four percent (4%) per annum.

SECTION 3: All necessary budget transfers are hereby approved.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
