CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING PARKS &
RECREATION DEPARTMENT CHILD CARE PROGRAM
RATES FOR THE 97/98 SCHOOL YEAR; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FO AN N EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, recognizes the
need for quality child care programs and authorizes that these child care programs be
provided by the City of Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, the rates for child care programs for residents for the 97/98 school year
will be set as follows: Annual Registration Fee, $10,00, Before School $15.00 per week,
Kindergarten 2-3 $15.00 per week, After School $30.00 per week, Spring Break $171.00,
Winter Break $147.00, and Kid's Day Off $27.00, Second Child discount 10%, Employee
discount 50%; and
WHEREAS, the rates for child care programs for nonresidents the 97/98 school year
will be set as follows: Annual Registration Fee $20.00, Before School $20.00 per week,
Kindergarten 2-3 per week $20.00, After School $40.00 per week, Spring Break $220.00,
Winter Break $190.00, and Kid's Day Off $35.00, Second Child discount 10%, Employee
discount 50%; and
WHEREAS, the Acting Parks and Recreation Director recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens
and residents to implement these rate increases for the Parks & Recreation child care
programs.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA;
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the following child care program rates are approved:

SECTION 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part of
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
