RESOLUTION NO. R-97_zo/
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT AND
AWARD BID NUMBER 97-25B ENTITLED
"PLAYGROUND SHADE COVER" TO THE LOWEST
RESPONSIBLE AND RESPONSIVE BIDDER,
INDUSTRIAL SHADEPORTS USA, INC. IN THE
AMOUNT OF $14,536.00 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
A PLAYGROUND SHADE COVER AT THE SPORTS
COMPLEX, 9901 NW 77TH AVENUE; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The City of Tamarac, Florida, publicly advertised Bid Number 97-
25B for the installation of a playground shade cover at the Sports Complex at 9901 NW
77th Street, in the Sun Sentinel on July 6 and July 13, 1997; and
WHEREAS, on July 30, 1997 the following were opened:
(1) Awnings America $32,500.00
(2) Industrial Shadeports, USA, Inc. $14,536.00
(3) Zebra Cool Shade $26,900.00
WHEREAS, Industrial Shadeports USA, Inc. submitted the lowest responsive
and responsible bid proposal in the amount of $14,536.00; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $14,536.00 were budgeted in FY97 to fully
fund this purchase; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Parks & Recreation and

Purchasing/Contracts Manager that Bid Number 97-25B be awarded to Industrial
Shadeports USA, Inc; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to
be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve
the award of Bid Number 96-25B for the installation of a playground shade cover at
Sports Complex for an amount of $14,536.00 to Industrial Shadeports USA, Inc. of
Deerfield Beach, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
Section 2: That pursuant to Section 6-149 of the City of Tamarac Code, the
purchase of a playground shade cover by the Purchasing/Contract Manager from
Industrial Shadeports USA, Inc. utilizing bid number 97-25B at a cost of $14,536.00, as
funded in FY97 under the appropriate Parks and Recreation Operational funds is
hereby approved.
Section 3: Authorizing the City Manager or his designee to close the bid
award, including but not limited to making final payment and releasing of funds upon
successful completion within the terms and conditions of the specifications.
SectiQ0 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
