CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97- ;2 d8
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPOINTING MAYOR
JOE SCHREIBER AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO
SERVE AS A DELEGATE TO THE ANNUAL ELECTION
MEETING TO THE COMMITTEE FOR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT (CCD); PROVIDING FOR A WAIVER OF
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EEF�OTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Broward County is requesting that each City appoint a municipal
representative by resolution to serve as a delegate to the election meeting to the
Committee for Community Development (CCD); and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint a
representative to the annual election meeting for the municipal representatives to the CCD.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: is hereby appointed as the City's
representative to the CCD.
SECTION 3: Pursuant to a request by Broward County, potential conflicts of interest
may arise should a City representative be elected to this Committee, and be asked to

vote on grant applications affecting the City, are hereby waived.
SECT,IQN 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION I If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTI,QNN r This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.

3. The Appointing Authority has reviewed the conflict of interest provisions contained in Chapter 112,
Part III, Florida Statutes, entitled "Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees" and has determined that:

Committee for Community Development; or
a conflict, of interest exists pursuant to subsection(s) (3) and/or (7) of §112.313, Florida Statutes, and said
