CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-97
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING FISCAL YEAR 1998 USER FEES
FOR THE CITY OF TAMARAC PARKS AND
RECREATION DEPARTMENT PROGRAMS AND
FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, recognizes the need for
recreational programs and facilities and authorizes that the programs and
facilities be provided by the City of Tamarac, Parks and Recreation Department;
and

WHEREAS, fees should be established at the beginning of the fiscal year;
WHEREAS, the City must determine Fiscal Year 1998 rates for services
commencing on October 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Director and Finance Director
recommend the adoption of the fee structure retroactive to October 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it
to be in the best interest of the City of Tamarac to authorize the Parks and
Recreation program and facility fee schedule commencing on October 1, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA;

Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
Section 2: That program and activity fees in the City of Tamarac,
effective October 1, 1997, shall be as follows:
FACILITIES:
Fitness Room Non Resident
$3.00 daily
$100.00 annual individual
$150.00 annual family
Room Rental
Non Resident (individual)
Resident Card $5.00
Recreation Center $360.00 daytime, $410.00 evening
(12 meetings)
One Time Use $75.00 for 4 hours daytime, $85.00 evening
Multi -purpose Center $210.00 per year (12 meetings)
PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES:
Adult Dances Day $3.00 Night $4.00
Senior Club $5.00
Teen Club $5.00
Youth Dances $4.00
Halloween Youth Dance: Costumed $3.00 Non -costumed $5.00
Open Gym $3.00 Non Resident

Non -instructor Class Cost of materials and administrative time
SENIOR TRIPS: Cost of trip and administrative time
Section 3: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
