R-97-�_ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE MARCH 11, 1997 GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD AT -LARGE, DISTRICT 1 AND DISTRICT 3 POSITIONS PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a General Election was scheduled to be held on March 11, 1997, wherein the positions of the Charter Board Districts 1, 3 and At -Large for two-year terms were to be filled; and WHEREAS, candidates for all three Charter Board positions ran unopposed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA- SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. SECTION 2: Solomon Rege , having run unopposed for the office of Charter Board representative from District 1, has been duly elected to that position for a term of two (2) years. Page 2 Temp. Reso. #7792 SECTION 3: Edward Klein, having run unopposed for the office of Charter Board representative from District 3, has been duly elected to that position for a term of two (2) years. SECTION 4: Benjamin Q. Hutt, having run unopposed for the office of Charter Board representative At -Large, has been duly elected to that position for a term of two (2) years. SECTION 5: That Solomon Regen, Edward Klein and Benjamin D. Hutt shall take office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-27 of the City Code. SECTION B- All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 7: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
