RESOLUTION NO. R-97 r7 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
RENOVATION AND REPAIR OF THE PLAYING SURFACE
OF THREE BASKETBALL COURTS AT TRACT 27,
LOCATED AT 9901 NW 77TH STREET, TO AAA TENNIS
COURTS, INC., UTILIZING METROPOLITAN DADE
COUNTY BID # 1153-0/98, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $17,243.51, APPROVING FUNDING FROM THE
APPROPRIATE PARKS & RECREATION OPERATING
ACCOUNT, PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, is resurfacing three basketball courts at
Tract 27, located at 9901 NW 77th Street; and
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Dade County awarded Bid # 1153-0/98 to AAA Tennis
Courts, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, City Code Section 6-155 allows the purchase of supplies, materials and
equipment utilizing contracts with other governmental agencies; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing/Contract Manager and the Acting Parks and Recreation
Director recommend approval; and
WHEREAS, available funds exist in the appropriate General Fund Budget for
resurfacing basketball courts at Tract 27; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens
and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize the resurfacing of three basketball courts
at Tract 27; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA;
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to approve
the renovation and repair of three basketball courts at Tract 27, in an amount not to exceed
$17,243.51 (attached hereto as Exhibit 1); and
SECTION 3: That the City of Tamarac is utilizing Metropolitan Dade County Bid
# 1153-0/98, (attached hereto as Exhibit #2); and
SECTION 4: That funding is approved from the appropriate Parks & Recreation
Operating Account; and
5ECTION : All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction be unconstitutional or invalid, in part of
application it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
