A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR THE
REHABILITATION OF PUMP STATIONS NO. 2,
2A1 AND 8; TUW PROJECT NO. 88-22,
WASTEWATER COLLECTION SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENTS, BID NO. 91-03; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Broward
County, Florida, on Saturday, June 8, 1991 and Friday, June 14,
1991 ; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Friday, June 21, 1991 ;
and
WHEREAS, Utilities Services, Inc., is the lowest fully
responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMAt1AC , FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the bid of Utilities Services, Inc., in
Itho amotint of $ 229, 630. 00 for the Rehabilitation of Pump Stations
No. 2, �A1 and 8, TUW Project No. 88-22, Wastewater Collection

Systezry Improvements, Bid No. 91-03, is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: That the appropriate budget transfers are

SECTION 3: That the funds are to come from Account
#425-367-535-6PA entitled Rehab. P.S. 2, Account #425-367-535-6PH

Rehab. P.S. 8.
SECTION 4: That the appropriate City Officials are
hereby authorized to execute any and all contract documents in

1. The undersigned party of the second part, do hereby
declare that we have carefully examined the Contract
Documents relating to the above entitled matter and the
work, and have personally inspected the location of the
work.
2. The undersigned do hereby declare that we are the only
person or persons interested in the said bid; that it is
made without any connection with any person submitting
another bid for the same contract; that the bid is in all
respects fair and without collusion, fraud, or mental
reservations; that no official of the Owner or any person
in the employ of the said is directly or indirectly
interested in said bid or in the supplies of work to
which it relates, or in any portion of 'the profits
thereof.
3. The undersigned do hereby offer and agree to furnish all
materials to fully and faithfully construct, perform and
execute all work in the above entitled matter in
accordance with the Specifications relating thereto, and

4. The undersigned Bidder agrees to begin work with an adequate
force and equipment within ten (10) calendar days from the date
of receipt of official notification to proceed, and to complete
all work within not more than the number of calendar days
specified in the Special Conditions' from the date of official
notification to proceed.
5. The bid securities will be returned promptly to unsuccessful
Bidders after award of the Contract.
6. All the various phases of work enumerated in the Technical
Specifications with their individual jobs and overhead,
whether specifically mentioned, included by implication or
appurtenant thereto, are to be performed by the Contractor under
the applicable bid item irrespective of whether it is named in
said list.
