CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-91- ?,�7
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER
OF PARKING REQUESTED BY THE CITY OF
TAMARAC FOR FIRE STATION #2, LOCATED
AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF COMMERCIAL
BOULEVARD AND THE ENTRANCE TO THE
FLORIDA TURNPIKE; PETITION #41--Z-91;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 24 of the Tamarac City Code provides
that the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off-street
parking and loading requirements whenever a hardship would exist by
adhering to strict application thereof, and further provides that
the waiver would not be detrimental to public safety, health and
welfare of the citizens of the City; and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at the City of Tamarac Fire
Station #2; and
WHEREAS, the request for a limited parking waiver to
approve a site plan for an addition of a storage building at Fire
Station #2 at the northeast corner of Commercial Boulevard and the
Florida Turnpike entrance to permit zero (0) degree parking spaces
where it is not permitted; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public
hearing thereon and has recommended approval of this application;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires t.o take act:: ati ca9-y t--he
limited waiver requested in the application of the City of Tamarac
Fire Station #2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the application by the City of Tamarac
to permit an addition of a storage building at Fire Station #2,
located at the northeast corner of Commercial Boulevard and the
entrance to the Florida Turnpike, Petition #41-Z-91, to permit zero
(0) degree parking spaces where it is not permitted is HEREBY
APPROVED, and such limited waiver would not be detrimental to the
public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City.
