A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TAMARAC
i LIONS CLUB TO CONDUCT ITS 4TH ANNUAL
WALK-A-THON; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
` DATE.

WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lions Club has requested authori-
zation to conduct Its 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday,
February 8, 1992 at 7:30 A.M. on a portion of the Tamarac
Recreation Facility on University Drive, and .
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lions Club has Submitted a Hold
Harmless Agreement to the City for this function.
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Lions Club has requested waiver of
all City fees in connection with the 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 That the City Council hereby grants
authorization to the Tamarac Lions Club to Conduct Its 4th
Annual Walk-A-Thon on Saturday, February 8, 1992, at 7:30
A.M. on a portion of the Tamarac Recreation Facility on
University Drive.
.SECTION 2 That the City Council further waives all
City fees In connection with the 4th Annual Walk-A-Thon.'
SECTION 3 This Resolution shall become effective
Immediately upon adoption.

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
This agreement entered Into on the day of
1991, Is made by and between the City of Tamarac, a
. municipal corporation, hereinafter, "CITY" and the Tamarac
Lions Club, hereinafter, "LIONS CLUB".
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the LIONS CLUB wishes to sponsor a 4th Annual
Walk-A-Thon, on Saturday, February 8, 1992, to benefit the
LIONS CLUB and other worthy causes; and
WHEREAS, the LIONS CLUB wishes to stage the Walk-A-Thon
on a portion of the Tamarac Recreation Facility, on Saturday,
February 8, 1992, starting at 7:30 A.M.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac has
determined that the execution of this Hold Harmless Agreement
is in the public Interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the sum of one
dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration
received from the LIONS CLUB and In consideration of, the
mutual convenants contained herein, the parties agree as
follows:
SECTION 1 : That the LIONS CLUB shall Indemnify, hold
the CITY harmless and defend the CITY from any and all
claims, causes of action, damages, costs, expenses and
attorney fees which the CITY shall suffer by virture of the
defense of, or response to, any Claim being made against It
In connection with the Walk-A-Thon sponsored by the LIONS
CLUB, Its agents, employees, members, participating busi-
nesses, or the general public In connection therewith.
SECTION 2 The above provisions shall survive the
termination of this Agreement and shall pertain to any
occurrence during the term of this Agreement, even though the
claim may be made after the termination hereof.

SECTION 3 : The LIONS CLUB shall provide the City Risk
Manager all necessary Certificates of Insurance in such form
and amounts as required by the Risk Manager.
SECTION 4 : The LIONS CLUB shall keep such policies of
Insurance in full force and effect during the term of this
Agreement and shall provide to the City Risk Manager proof of
Payment of the required documents.
SECTION 5 : The LIONS CLUB shall provide the CITY with
the requisite document evidencing that the signatory for the
LIONS CLUB has the authority to enter Into this Agreement.
SECTION 6 : This Agreement shall not be assigned
without receiving City Council approval.
