CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-91-- / 73
A RESOLUTION REVISING THE RATE FOR THE
RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
FEE; PROVIDING FOR 100% BILLING OF SAID FEE;
REPEALING RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 19-53 of Chapter 19 of the City Code
sets the rate of the garbage collection and disposal fee as a
percentage of the actual cost incurred by the City under its
residential garbage collection and disposal contract;
WHEREAS, the contract with Southern Sanitation provides
for a cost of living increase effective on October 1, 1991;
WHEREAS, the cost of living increase pursuant to the
terms of the contract (from June 1990 to June 1991) is 4.7% ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That the rate of 100% of the actual cost
incurred by the City under its residential garbage collection
and disposal contract shall be established as a residential
garbage collection and disposal fee.
SECTION 2 : Said fee shall be revised to the following
charge per month for:
(a) curb service per unit
other than condominium ...... 14.24 to 14.91
(b) dumpster service per
condominium unit.............7.16 to 7.50
Said fee shall be billed on the customer's regular
utility bill.

SECTION 3 : All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extend of such
conflict.
SECTION 4 : This Resolution shall be effective immed-
iately upon approval. The fee assessed pursuant to this
resolution shall commence October 1, 1991.
