2 RESOLUTION NO. R-91-/8 1
31 A RESOLUTION GRANTING A SPECIAL USE
EXCEPTION TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF
RESTAURANT AT 5825 NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE,
5 TAMARAC (FORMERLY TOM NORRIS), REQUESTED
BY JOHN KARLIAMBAS D/B/A UNIVERSITY DINER;
PETITION #42--Z-91; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Code of the City of Tamarac provides for the
granting of special exception to permit the operation of a sit-down
10 restaurant at 5825 North University Drive, Tamarac: (formerly Tom
11 Norris); and
12 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
13 thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
14 WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and the public has
15 been given an opportunity to express their views concerning the
16 application for special exception; and
17 WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac finds that the
18 Petition for special exception would be in keeping with the public
1 health, safety and general welfare of the City of Tamarac.
2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
21 TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
22 SECTION 1: That the Petition for special exception to permit
23 the operation of a sit-down restaurant at 5825 North University
24 Drive, Tamarac (formerly Tom Norms), requested by John Karliambas
Z5 d/b/a University Diner, Petition # 42-Z-91, is HEREBY APPROVED.
26 SECTION 2: Conditions of approval:

29 SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
