CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-91- o y
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A LIMITED WAIVER OF
PARKING REQUESTED BY BOARDWALK APARTMENTS
AT THE NORTHEAST AND SOUTHEAST CORNERS OF
NORTHWEST 88TH AVENUE AND NORTHWEST 61ST
STREET, TAMARAC; PETITION NO. 60-Z-91;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Section 24 of the Tamarac City Code provides
that the City Council may grant a limited waiver of the off-
street parking and loading requirements whenever a hardship
would exist by adhering to strict application thereof, and
further provides that the waiver would not be detrimental to
public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the City;
and
WHEREAS, a hardship exists at Boardwalk Apartments; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing
thereon and has recommended approval of this application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to take action on the
limited waiver requested in the application of Boardwalk
Apartments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That the application by Boardwalk: At)artment s
to permit a limited parking waiver to allow having eleven (11)
spaces in a row without a landscape island when Code requires
no more than ten (10) spaces in a row without a landscape
island at the Northeast and Southeast corners of N.W. 88 Avenue
and N.W. 61st Street, Tamarac; Petition No. 60-Z-91, is HEREBY.
APPROVED; and such limited waiver would not be detrimental to
the public safety, health and welfare of the citizens of the
City.
