A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TWO (2) SETS OF
HYDRAULIC RESCUE SYSTEMS (A/K/A
"JAWS OF LIFE") TO MATRX; BID NO.
90-36; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE. - ..__.._...
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in Broward
County, Florida, on Saturday, December 15, 1990 and Friday,
December 21, 1990; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Friday, December 28, 1990;
and
WHEREAS, Matrx was the only fully responsive and
responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF- THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA;
SECTION 1: That the bid of Matrx in the amount of
$30,018.00 for the purchase of two (2) sets of Hydraulic Rescue
Systems (A/K/A "Jaws of Life") is HEREBY APPROVED, with funding
to come from Account #160--223-522-647, Fire Rescue Equipment
Grant Fund.
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption

Please agendize the awarding of Bid No. 90-36 to Matrx for the purchase
of two (2) sets of Hydraulic Rescue Systems (aka "Jaws of Life") for the City Council
meeting scheduled February 13, 1991. Matrx was the only bidder on this equipment.
The total cost for the purchase of the Hydraulic Systems is $30,018.00;
one-half of this total is funded by a state matching grant which was awarded to the
City (Acct. #160-223-522-647).
