R--91-48 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD POSITIONS FOR DISTRICTS 1, 3 AND AT LARGE; AND PROVjnjNn AN ErrErITyL DATE - WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 12, 1991, wherein the positions of Charter Board Districts 1, 3 and At large, for two- year terms, were to be filled; and WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has canvassed the results of the machine voting and absentee ballots and has certified such results to the City Clerk of the City of Tamarac; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification from the Broward County Canvassing Board and has presented their findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and Declaration of the results. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The following are the certified results of the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board, District 1, at the General Election held March 12, 1991: WALTER BLOECKER 1,722 MURIEL R. DAVIS 2,840 Muriel R. Davis, having received the highest number of votes cast for the District 1 seat, is, therefore, declared to have been elected to that seat for a term of two (2) years. SECTION 2: The following are the certified results of the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board, District 3, at the General Election held March 12, 1991: EDWARD KLEIN 1,954 DAVID E. KRANTZ 2,736 1 Temp Reso. #6009 David E. Krantz, having received the highest number of votes cast fo the District 3 seat, is, therefore, declared to have been elected t that seat for a term of two (2) years. SECTION 3: The following are the certified results of the votes received by candidates seeking the office of Charter Board, At --Large at the General Election held March 12, 1991: MELANIE K. REYNOLDS 2,187 MORTON WINTER 2,548 Morton Winter, having received the highest number of votes cast for the At -Large seat, is, therefore, declared to have been elected to that seat for a term of two (2) years. SECTION,9v That Muriel R. Davis, David E. Krantz, and Morton Winter shall take office in accordance with the provisions of Section 2-27 of the Code of Ordinances. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage. PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19th day of March, 1991. ATTEST: C WROL A.
