A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE BIDDING REQUIREMENTS AND
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO,
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MANCHESTER EQUIPMENT
COMPANY, INC., FOR THE SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE OF TWO
(2) EIGHT (8) CHANNEL MULTIPLEXORS IN ORDER FOR
TAMARAC UTILITIES WEST TO IMPLEMENT A COMPUTERIZED
WORK ORDER PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the appropriate City officials waive
the bidding requirements and are hereby authorized to execute
an Agreement with Manchester Equipment Company, Inc., for the
sole source purchase of two (2) eight (8) channel multi-
plexors in the amount of $3,766.00 in order for Tamarac
Utilities West to implement a computerized work order
program, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto as
"Exhibit 1".
SECTION 2: This Resolution shall become effective upon
adoption.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE
CITY OF TAMARAC
AND
MANCHESTER EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC.
RELATING TO THE PURCHASE
OF COMPUTER MULTITECH MULTIPLEXERS
This is an Agreement between the City of Tamarac, a
Florida municipal corporation ("City"), and Manchester
Equipment Company, Inc., a New York/Florida Corporation, its
successors and assigns ("Manchester Equipment Company").
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has determined that it must
add to the existing data processing communication equipment
at Tamarac Utilities, West by purchasing two (2)
Multitech 8-channel multiplexer devices; and
WHEREAS, the required Multitech multiplexers must be
compatible with the existing computer system used by the Data
Processing Department, and therefore, the purchase of these
devices is a sole source purchase; and
WHEREAS, Section 9-39 of the City of Tamarac Code of
Ordinances requires that sole source purchases in an amount
over two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars be the subject of a
formal written contract approved by the City council.
NOW, THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION of the mutual terms and
conditions promises, covenants and payment hereinafter set
forth City and Manchester Equipment Company agree as follows:

1. The above recitals are incorporated herein and are
made a part of this agreement.
2. Manchester Equipment Company agrees to provide two
(2) Multitech 8-channel multiplexers with internal modem (MM
908/96) communication computer devices. The price for each
Multitech multiplexer is one thousand eight hundred eighty
three ($1,883.00) dollars.
3. The City and Manchester Equipment Company agreed that
the above quoted price shall include delivery of the two (2) •
Multitech multiplexer computer devices.
IN WITNESS whereof the parties hereto have made and
executed this Agreement on the respective dates under each
signature. The City of Tamarac signing by and through its
Mayor, authorized to execute same by city Council action on
the 0 day of , and Manchester
Equipment Company, Inc. signing by and through its Regional rlanager
duly authorized to execute same.
